Why Adopt?
More Than an Adoption.
A Second Chance.
When you adopt from Moyer Animal Shelter, you aren’t just bringing home a pet. You’re giving an animal a second chance while making room for us to help the next dog or cat who needs us.
Adoption offers a lower-cost way to welcome a pet into your family, with essential medical services already provided. Our team also takes time to help you learn about each animal’s personality, history, energy level, and individual needs.
Our goal isn’t simply to find homes. It’s to make thoughtful, responsible matches that give both the animal and adopter the best opportunity for success.
Support Us
You Don’t Have to Adopt to Change an Animal’s Life
Every donation, volunteer hour, shared post, and helping hand makes it possible for Moyer Animal Shelter to continue caring for animals in our community.
You can donate to help cover everyday shelter needs, sponsor an animal during their stay, give supplies from our wish list, volunteer your time, foster, or help support local fundraising efforts.
An hour spent walking a shelter dog matters. A bag of cat litter matters. A $10 donation matters. Sharing an adoption post matters.
When our community comes together for its animals, small acts of kindness add up to something pretty incredible.
